XafsAdmin discussion of Software Pages
BruceRavel extensively edited the Software page and created pages for all of the software packages for which he was able to find home pages after a searching on the ESRF site, Matt and Julie's collection, and good ol' Google.

Of course, I also know where Matt, Andrea, and myself are. Pages were made for Ifeffit, GNXAS, and my stuff as well.
Here is the letter that was sent to all the authors that I was able to identify:
Hello, I am writing to you today on behalf of an ad-hoc outreach subcommittee of the International XAFS Society executive committee. The IXS is in the process of building a new website, in the form of a wiki, at http://xafs.org. I have volunteered to organize the section of the wiki with information about theory and analysis software available to XAFS practitioners. Those receiving this email are the authors of packages that I am familiar with or which are listed at the ESRF software page (http://www.esrf.eu/computing/scientific/exafs/) or compiled a few years back by Matt Newville and Julie Cross (http://cars9.uchicago.edu/IXS-cgi/XAFS_Programs). The advantage of the new, wiki-based approach to compiling information about software packages is that maintenance of the site is decentralized. Each software author can maintain his or her own page. To get this project started, I have created a short page for each of you. Go to http://xafs.org/Software where you will find a link to a brief description of your work. We encourage you to create an account for yourself at xafs.org (instructions are provided at http://xafs.org/Software/NotesForAuthors) and edit the page for your package as you see fit. In fact, we hope that you will be interested in contributing content to other sections of xafs.org as well. Regards, Bruce Ravel

Here is the letter sent to authors whose email addresses I found at the ESRF and Matt/Julie sites, but for which an active homepage could not be found.
Those receiving this email are the authors of packages that are listed either at the ESRF software page http://www.esrf.eu/computing/scientific/exafs/ or compiled a few years back by Matt Newville and Julie Cross http://cars9.uchicago.edu/IXS-cgi/XAFS_Programs but for which I was unable to find a homepage after a cursory search using Google. Consequently, I do not know the current status of your work or if you continue to develop it. If you do, I would like to invite you to participate in this project at xafs.org. The advantage of the new, wiki-based approach to compiling information about software packages is that maintenance of the site is decentralized. Each software author can maintain his or her own page. If you are interested in creating a page describing your software efforts, you are encouraged to go to http://xafs.org and create a user account for yourself (see http://xafs.org/HowToUseThisWiki for instructions). Once you have created an account for yourself, you may go to the Software page at http://xafs.org/Software and create a page to describe your software package. Instructions for how to do so are at http://xafs.org/Software/NotesForAuthors. In fact, we hope that you will be interested in contributing content to other sections of xafs.org as well. Regards, Bruce Ravel
Outstanding issues
I have been having trouble all weekend connecting to some parts of Europe from my home here in Chicago. Consequently, I have been unable to obtain information about the following important packages:
FDMNES (After not being able to connect to the FDMNES site all weekend, I finally managed. I filled in the template and sent mail to Yves.)
- MXAN
- Continuum
If any of you can contact their authors or send me links to pages with information, that would be very helpful.
I made a page for Cerius2, the expensive commercial product that uses EXCURVE. However, there is not a contact email address on their web site. There is an enquiryu form, which I will fill out later this morning.
