New Harmonic Rejection Mirror

Old mirror

These are images of the beam reflecting off of the old mirror. The image on the left is with the hutch slits set at 1mm vertically, the image on the right is with 2mm. Note the structure in the image of the beam which is not present in the incident beam.

New mirror

These are images of the beam reflecting off of the new mirror. The image on the left is with the hutch slits set at 1mm vertically, the image on the right is with 2mm. Note that the image of the beam is uniform, indicating that the beam is interacting with all parts of the mirror equally.

Reflectivity

Here are scans of the reflectivity off of the old and new mirrors at 7809 eV and with a 1mm entrance slit. Both scans are scaled to be of unit height at the highest point. (The scaling accommodates the attenuation of the beam intensity over the hour that I spent installing the new mirror.

Note that the new mirror is obviously less rough, as evidence by the much higher critical angle. Do the mirrors have the same coating? I need to measure what's on the old one...
