Paint job

Here are several shots of the newly repainted apartment. Very purple!

I left the baseboards unpainted for now -- I'll finish them after the floor gets installed.

Note the paint splotches on the carpet. Painting is way easier when you don't have to fret about keeping paint off of things

Floor plan

My current plan is to do the floor in Marmoleum Click. I am very impressed by the green pedigree of this product and the colors are beautiful.

Here is a floor plan for the apartment with pictures of the actual tiles lifted from the Forbo web site. I want to use the purplish-gray tiles in the closet and bath. The bulk of the floor will be the darker brown with a decorative splotch in the middle of the room in the yellowish-brown. The green lines represent the dimensions of the room on the same scale as the tiles. (Yes, I will need a table saw. Yay, tools!) I miscalculated the size of the closet relative to the bath -- they are the same dimensions. The width of the walls between them and the main room are not shown properly.
